Unique to China, this fiber is humanely collected from the shoulders and flanks of the kid goat, yielding an average micron of 13-13.5 μm and a fiber length of 34-36 mm, making it noticeably softer, warmer, and more luxurious than the best traditional cashmere, which is 14.5 microns. Baby cashmere production is concentrated in the grasslands of the western area of Inner Mongolia. It is a very rare and highly sought-after fiber due to the yield of one goat being only 30 grams while it is young, with the region generating no more than 50 tons per annum.
Hand wash using cold water and neutral soap or baby shampoo. Rinse out without rubbing and lay flat to dry at room temperature, avoiding sunlight. Iron at low temperature, using pressing cloth. Do not bleach.
